This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It's on a hill and you get a great view of the Tuscan countryside. The hotel offers cooking classes and winery tours.
There's a nice swimming pool, garden, and many areas around the hotel to stroll and enjoy a glass of wine.
This is a place to "get away from it all". Which means it's also in a pretty rural location. If you're driving there, I'd recommend trying to drive there in the daytime, with a GPS and/or a very detailed map (both if you have them). There is a computer with Internet access, at no charge.
The staff was wonderful, the food delicious, and I enjoyed the stay immensely. If you have a big budget, you might also like the hotel Le Fontanelle, a 5-star hotel nearby. But for the price, La Badia a Coltibuono can't be beat.
