When visiting Umbria, we were fortunate in having a chance meeting with Pam Haack, an American living in Italy. Pam's business, OffTheBeatenStrada, is designed to introduce small, intimate groups to local attractions in Italy. While we were visiting, she took us into the field on a truffle hunt with a local hunter and his dogs and introduced us to some wonderful local personalities. Among her other offerings are cooking classes, vineyard tours, harvesting olives and soaking in thermal baths. It was our lucky day when we met her! report a problem
