Umbria see + do

Umbria is a place to be sampled slowly, preferably from an alfresco dining table, over a glass of full-bodied Montefalco red or Orvieto Classico white wine. You really need at least a week to do it justice, by interspersing jaunts to art towns and historic landmarks with nature hikes, meals at the region's excellent restaurants, and a healthy dose of dolce far niente.
