St John = Lime Inn for lobster...owners are fabulous!Castaway's is kind of a pirate place for happy hour and High Tide is fun for happy hour and great eats while waiting for ferry back to St Thomas. Hercules for Pates--ask anyone once off ferry and they can direct you; Lucky Bamboo--great Chinese food, owner's name is David!! Hails from Huntington Beach, Ca--great guy - killer food! Reef Bay Hike--call National Park for reservation - $6 taxi and $17 (Sadie Sea--captain is Tom) boat ride back -- this ='s a 5 hrs trip thru the history of St John - fun, fun, fun! On St Thomas = Room with a View is fabulous for dinner-view is amazin'; Big Bambooz for happy hour and $2.50 drinks; Taco Hell in Red Hook for quick eats ($2 and $3 tacos)!! Magen's Bay and Secret harbor are beautiful - also among favorites places of locals!
