The subdued white-wall aesthetic of this St. Thomas standby has let chef Tony Romano's culinary and artistic creations shine for nearly 20 years. Celebrities and diplomats alike have come for Romano's fine Northern Italian cuisine, with well executed standards such as the four-cheese lasagna or the veal osso buco. The nightly soup selections have a cult following: Call a day ahead to request favorites like the cauliflower and roasted red pepper purees, both prepared sans cream to enhance the purity of the flavors. This is one of the few island eateries that calls for more formal attire, so trade the flip flops for slingbacks.
Open Mondays though Saturdays 6 to 10:30 pm.
