Vancouver hotels

Vancouver's hotels—until recently—weren't especially design-focused or contemporary. The 2010 Winter Olympic Games changed that, though, and new contenders have come to town, including the luxurious Shangri-La, The Loden, and the Fairmont Pacific Rim. Top-end lodgings are appropriately spacious and immaculate, with excellent service, but many have decor and amenities dating back a decade or more.
