Vienna offers two very different kinds of guest rooms. The old-guard hotels, many situated in former palaces strung along the Opernring, evoke the baroque essence of the city. Consider at least one blowout night at a classic, such as the Grand Hotel Wien or Imperial, with their swagged drapes and plunging, cut-glass chandeliers.
