Vieques + Culebra hotels
Hotels in Vieques and Culebra are still relatively few in number, and most hotels have fewer than a dozen rooms: This is still a relatively undiscovered destination. Finding a place to stay during high season can be frustrating, especially with the former Martineau Bay Resort closed for its transformation into the Caribbean's first W Hotel, opening sometime in 2010. The good news is that Vieques and Culebra's small hotels are big on character. The architectural whimsy of places like Hix Island House and the laid-back cool of hotels like Bravo Beach are hard to find elsewhere in the Caribbean.
