If you want a break from the hectic city life of Ho Chi Minh City, then Dalat is definitely the place to go. Although the drive is long , you will be amazed by the dazzeling views of green hills with streams of waters rushing down as you head near Dalat. In fact, this is probably the closest I will ever be to the nature of New Zealand. Upon arrival, you will notice the cold weather as your in a city of high altitude and a jacket is a MUST. The city is very charming with it's colorful buildings, many with French influence. If you have ever seen to Nagasaki from up high, the view of Dalat will remind you of just that. The elevation of houses and hillsides are great for photography. If your going on a tour expect to visit plenty different gardens. I highly recommend tours to Dalat if you are a botanical gardens lover. Oh yeah, and a visit to Bao Dai's supossedly haunted palace is a MUST!
