The Olympic is a big part of Seattle history, and I appreciate the way the Fairmont has kept its classic atmosphere and tradition alive. Along with the old-time luxury and style, in the heart of downtown, you get all the modern amenities plus great service. On my last trip I ate in the Georgian Room -- the prawns in bacon were excellent and there was an extensive (if pricey) wine list. I learned that the wines are handled by a Master Sommelier, one of a very few in the country. Next time I'm trying Shuckers, more of an upscale tavern atmosphere, famous for its oysters. report a problem
