I didn't think I'ld spend a whole day at each of these two new museums, but I did. The National Portrait Gallery/ Museum of American Art are blends of great historic restoration and modern architecture---and it's free. The Newzeum has a ticket cost, but it's worth it---with the outdoor deck view of the Capital & Pennsylvania Ave., as well as the history/world of news (including 9-11) plus an incredible building design. report a problem
