About 5 years ago, I traveled to D.C. with my sister, her 2 daughters, age 11 and 13 at the time, and my daughter who was 9. We had booked a room for 5 people at the Hotel Harrington, because they had a very good rate. Imagine our surprise when we found that the hotel was walking distance (like, 2-5 blocks) from everything, right off the mall, and there were 5 beds ( some doubles!) in the room! The kids had a blast jumping from bed to bed while we parked in the garage, which also was very reasonably priced and only a couple blocks away. We never needed the car while we were there. The people we met at the hotel were great, the food in the restaurant was terrific, and you could see all the expensive hotels from our windows! report a problem
