For those of you who want to go for an amazing trail run or hike, I suggest you go to Turkey Run off of the George Washington Parkway in Virginia (between 495 and DC). If you take the trail down to the bottom of the hill, you can walk along the Potomac River for miles. If you feel adventurous, leave the path and explore! You'll find remnants of old houses, ditches dug in the civil war, equipment used to blast out the rock to build the parkway, and then there's all the amazing flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for the deer, look across the river at Maryland and DC. We go all year around and just love it. report a problem
