Former DJ Lori Parkerson stocks her store with men's and women's clothing that's a mix of androgynous tailoring and grunge-chic streetwear. In addition to selling superb labels from New York City to Korea (Corpus, Surface to Air), the store is also great at incubating local talent. So ditch the White House statues and Obama tees and get a true D.C. souvenir in the form of an outsize knit cowl from De*Nada or hand-poured Sea Salt & Bay Rum candles by Sydney Hale Co.—Colleen Clark
