The Lodge at Whitefish

I've never stayed at the Garden Wall. I have stayed, a number of times, at The Lodge--and keep going back. Reserve a room with a "full view" of the Lake. Your bed will be up in the loft. In the winter, the heat rises, so you can turn off the thermostat, and enjoy a cozy night under the blankets in the loft's bed. In the winter, if you have your bird book and binocs, you can identify a number of species of ducks as they fish in the lake off the hotel. The best meal that I've ever had there was on Christmas Eve!!! Bacon-wrapped bison. Huckleberry ice cream. Ummmm. If you visit in the winter, take your swimsuit--the outdoor jacuzzi will be open. Final suggestion: Take a shower cap.
