Hiking in Montana, Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area
Posted on: February 6, 2012 at 11:20AM
Glacier National Park is hiker's paradise! I would recommend spending your time on the east side of the park in Many Glacier or Two Medicine area where the hiking and scenery is much more spectacular. The Highline Trail is a must-do for the serious hiker. I would also recommend Dawson Pass (or a we say Awesome Pass!), Iceberg Lake, Ptarmigan Tunnel, Scenic Point, Pitamakan Pass, Cracker Lake and Firebrand Pass. Some of those trails are ranger-led hikes which I would recommend if you are nervous about bears!
