Whistler hotels
Whistler Village sits at the feet of Blackcomb Mountain to the southeast and Whistler Mountain to the southwest. Most of the hotels are located here, and it's close enough to walk to both mountains' gondolas. Another option is Whistler Upper Village, closer to the base of Blackcomb mountain—it's farther from eating and shopping, but lends more of a feel of seclusion in nature.
Condos are another good option for large groups, families, or those who desire a bit more privacy. ResortQuest Whistler (604-932-6699; www.resortquestwhistler.com) represents more than 900 area accommodations, ranging from studios to five-bedroom homes. Most come with a full kitchen, fireplace, entertainment system, parking, and access to an outdoor pool or hot tub.
