Concierge.com's insider take:
The Summit has fashioned itself as a purveyor of "Western Zen," with touches such as a 24-hour yoga channel, yoga mats, serene water features, and sand gardens available for your room. Less enlightened visitors just like its peaceful location near a gurgling creek in the North Village. The 81 suites come with refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, and 300-thread-count bed linens. (Ask for room 410, which overlooks a grove of majestic Douglas firs, promising an early-morning birdsong alarm clock.) There are also two good restaurants here, Elements and Sachi Sushi. Despite its overly florid name, we like the Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa, which specializes in Javanese treatments, an Indonesian discipline with lots of deep kneading and pressure—a welcome release after a day of hiking, skiing, or boarding.
