My best tip for Mexico traveling is to ship your luggage to your hotel via Fed Ex or UPS to meet your at the hotel. This way you can avoid the hassle of customs and the baggage fees from the airlines. I also suggest if you want to avoid the 6 hr bus ride to Chichenitza from Riveria Maya/Cancun you can charter a personal flight from the Playa del Carmen small airport for just a few dollars more and get there in a little over an hour. We did this last year and it was amazing to see the ocean and jungle from those views. report a problem
