I would not recommend Hurumzi. We were very excited about staying in this hotel ("the most romantic hotel in Africa" etc. etc.) but almost everything about it was disappointing. The rooms are indeed beautifully decorated, and have lovely atmosphere, but the service, food, maintenance, and general management were not what one would hope for. Food (especially) and service were poorly, almost shockingly so. And staff terribly insincere - not kind and genuine as in Fundu Lagoon where we stayed later.
